About the Therapist

I have been licensed as a clinical social worker since 2009. I received my pre-licensure training in cognitive behavioral therapy at the Boston University Center for Anxiety & Related Disorders. I earned my MSW (a practice degree) from the Boston University School of Social Work and my PhD (a research degree) from the University of California Berkeley School of Social Welfare. My PhD and associated research are not practice-related.

I am a graduate of the Virtual Professional Training Institute of the TLC Foundation for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors. I have practiced in outpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization levels of care for North Suffolk Mental Health Association, Mental Health Partners, Rogers Behavioral Health, and Kaiser Permanente.

I’m typically described as wise, funny, and precise. I tune in to the nitty-gritty details of anxiety and depression, and will use them to your advantage in treatment, perhaps when you least expect it.

I live and work in Walnut Creek. I’m a spouse and a dad. My two sons take up about 98.3% of my free time.
